Representative Matters

In re: Liberty State Benefits of Delaware Inc., et al., Case No.: 11-12404 (KG)

LRC serves as special litigation counsel to Richard W. Barry, the Chapter 11 Trustee (the “Trustee”) in the Liberty State Benefits of Delaware Inc., et al. (the “Debtors”) bankruptcy cases, advising the Trustee in connection with his efforts to take possession of the Debtors’ property, ascertain and conduct investigations into the Debtors’ affairs, preserve and recover their assets, and bring, prosecute and defend any actions, suits or other proceedings on behalf of the Debtors.  LRC has assisted the Trustee in investigating and prosecuting the misappropriation and misapplication of at least $13.5 million of the Debtors’ assets by Michael Kwasnik, the former outside counsel to the Debtors, and persons acting under his control through an alleged Ponzi scheme targeting primarily elderly victims.
