New York, NY (December 10, 2019): The M&A Advisor announced today that Landis Rath & Cobb LLP is the recipient of awards in two categories of the 14th Annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards—for the Distressed M&A Deal of the Year (Section 363 Sale of Select Things Remembered Stores to Enesco, LLC, $10MM to $25MM) and the Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (for  Reorganization and Sale of Argos Therapeutics, Inc., $10MM to $25MM). The awards will be presented at a Black Tie Gala on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach, FL.

“These award winners are representative of those that reached the pinnacle of the distressed investing, bankruptcy and reorganization industry for 2019. They earned these honors by standing out in a group of very impressive candidates,” said Roger Aguinaldo, Founder of The M&A Advisor. “In an environment that is increasingly demanding of its professionals, we are recognizing the leading transactions, firms and individuals that represent the highest levels of performance.”

The nominations, representing over 240 participating companies, were judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

In Things Remembered, LRC served as co-counsel with Kirkland & Ellis LLP to Things Remembered, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “TRM”).  TRM, along with their non-Debtor Canadian affiliate, was the leading retailer of personalized gifts and merchandise in North America. The LRC team included Adam Landis, Matthew McGuire, Kimberly Brown and Matthew Pierce.

For Argos Therapeutics, LRC served as lead bankruptcy counsel to Argos Therapeutics, Inc. (“Argos”) in its chapter 11 proceeding in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  Argos was an immune-oncology company focused on the development and commercialization of individualized immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases.
