Jennifer L. Cree Selected as ABA Business Law Fellow
Wilmington, DE (August 16, 2023): Jennifer L. Cree, an associate at Landis Rath & Cobb LLC, has been selected for the American Bar Association’s Business Law Fellows Program Class for 2023-2025. The highly selective program, which chooses 12 attorneys annually, seeks to develop diverse leaders for the ABA’s Business Law Section.
“Jen has demonstrated tremendous leadership in her ABA participation in the Young Lawyers Division,” said founding partner Dan Rath. “It is not surprising that the Business Law section would identify her as a future association leader. She shows leadership qualities every day in her practice.”
For over 20 years, the Fellows Program has represented the ABA Business Law Section’s commitment to encouraging the participation of diverse lawyers in Section activities. The program focuses on leadership experience, including mentorship and a meeting attendance subsidy. The Business Law Section Fellows Program provides a springboard to leadership opportunities for lawyers under the age of 40, lawyers of color, LGBT lawyers and lawyers with disabilities and develops future leaders of the Business Law Section.
As a dedicated ABA member for several years, Jen’s leadership roles within the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) included Chair of the Parents in Practice Initiative, District Representative, Chair of the YLD Business Law Committee, Chair of the YLD Law Practice Committee, and Member of the YLD Member Services Committee.
“I’m looking forward to participating in the Business Law Fellows Program and contributing to the Section,” said Cree. “I’ve appreciated the law firm’s mentoring and support to get me here.”
Jen concentrates her practice in the areas of Corporate, Commercial and Bankruptcy Litigation. She practices in Delaware’s state and federal courts with her primary focus in the Court of Chancery, Complex Commercial Litigation Division of the Delaware Superior Court and in proceedings before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
