Landis Rath & Cobb Associate Joshua B. Brooks Selected to Participate in National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges Next-Generation Program

Landis Rath & Cobb LLP proudly announces that associate Joshua B. Brooks has been selected to participate in the 2025 Next Generation Program hosted by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ). This highly selective program recognizes rising stars in the bankruptcy bar and is limited to just 40 participants nationwide.

The 16th annual NextGen program will take place during the NCBJ Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, September 17-20, 2025. NextGen participants will enjoy an exclusive Judicial Roundtable program, as well as networking opportunities and social events with their 2025 classmates and NextGen alumni.

NextGen program participants must meet the following qualifications for consideration:

  • Three to ten years of experience practicing law (including clerkships).
  • Devote at least fifty percent of his/her practice to bankruptcy cases.
  • Demonstrate legal excellence in the practice of bankruptcy law.
  • Display a serious commitment to principles of civility, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the continued educational development of bankruptcy professionals and to professional activities that will benefit the public, members of the bar, and the court system.

The National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges is the premier organization supporting the federal bankruptcy judiciary. Its mission includes advancing the administration of bankruptcy law, fostering scholarship and collegiality, and promoting diversity and education within the bankruptcy community. The Next Generation Program is co-sponsored by the American College of Bankruptcy.
