In re: Southeastern Grocers, LLC., et al., Case No. 18-10700 (MFW)
LRC served as bankruptcy counsel to C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. and certain of its affiliates (“C&S”) in Southeastern Grocers, LLC’s and its affiliated debtors’ (collectively, the “Debtors”) chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. The Debtors are one of the largest supermarket operators in the United States operating more than 700 stores across the Southeast as of the bankruptcy filing. C&S is the Debtors’ primary supplier of grocery related goods and services. Prior to the Debtors’ Chapter 11 cases, LRC negotiated extensively with Debtors’ counsel regarding the Debtors’ proposed reorganization strategy and related modification of C&S’ supply agreement. LRC also negotiated extended credit terms during the Debtors’ Chapter 11 cases to provide nearly $200 million of incremental liquidity, and significant post-emergence secured financing. This included extensive negotiations with the Debtors and their senior secured lenders that resulted in C&S receiving treatment as a secured lender for its post-petition credit extension and post-emergence financing. These transactions achieved a positive outcome for C&S, and were critical to the Debtors’ pre-planned reorganization efforts resulting in an efficient, successful bankruptcy process for the Debtors and their creditors.
