Landis Rath & Cobb, a Delaware-based corporate bankruptcy, restructuring and litigation boutique law firm, is pleased to announce that five attorneys and both practices have been recognized in the 2015 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
The prestigious legal guide, published annually by London-based Chambers & Partners, identifies leading lawyers and law firm practices based on interviews conducted by Chambers researchers with thousands of attorneys and their clients.
Chambers describes LRC as a “boutique bankruptcy, restructuring and litigation firm with a fine-tuned team of practitioners often handling first-chair work.” The publication quotes a client as saying the firm is “very commercial and practical and we were quickly able to come to consensus. They are also very responsive and take a common-sense approach.”
In describing the firm’s attorneys, Chambers says the following:
Adam Landis acts as lead and local counsel for an array of parties involved in complex insolvency matters. Sources say: “His depth of knowledge and breadth of experience is excellent and he takes a very pragmatic approach.”
Richard Cobb provides the full range of insolvency and restructuring advice to lenders, agents and creditors’ committees. According to sources he is “a strong negotiator and advocate.”
Kerri Mumford is described as someone who “gets things done, has lots of experience and really knows the system.” She assists an array of private and public entities and has significant experience in Chapter 7 work.
Among the firm’s significant representations, Chambers cites Brookstone Holdings, Shelbourne North Water Street, Nomadix, Black Diamond CLO 2005-1, official committee of equity security holders of Tuscany International Drilling.
The rapidly growing Chancery practice is once again named among the top firms in Delaware, with Dan Rath and Rebecca Butcher both being ranked among the best practitioners in the state.
Daniel Rath has a formidable chancery practice that deals with a plethora of issues from shareholder litigation to the sale, fusion or breakup of different business entities. Observers remark: “He is very quick to understand complex litigation and is focused on serving the client’s needs.”
Rebecca Butcher represents clients in corporate and commercial actions before the Chancery Court of Delaware, the Supreme Court of Delaware and the US District Court of Delaware. She garners accolades from several interviewees for her litigation skills.
