In re: Bruno’s Supermarkets, LLC, Case No. 09-00634-BGC11

LRC served as lead counsel to C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (“C&S”) in connection with the chapter 11 proceedings of Bruno Supermarkets, LLC and its affiliates (“Bruno’s”) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama Southern Division.  C&S is the largest grocery wholesale supplier in the United States.  LRC advised C&S with respect to its supply agreement claims and the bankruptcy acquisition by a C&S affiliate of the majority of Bruno’s stores.  LRC also successfully represented C&S as a third party and potential defendant in relation to a multi-million dollar litigation commenced by the Bruno’s liquidating trustee relating to the spinoff of Bruno’s from Bi-Lo Supermarkets, and with respect to C&S’ claims of more than $6.5 million asserted against Bruno’s.
